Le Mans - MotoGP 2011 race is not over. However, there are approximately 16 teams that states want to join the MotoGP 2012 for the main class.
Please note, MotoGP will enter a new era in the 2012 race, when every team is required to use the powerful 1000cc engine. FIM announce there are approximately 16 teams that expressed a new willingness to compete in MotoGP next season.
"IRTA has received applications from 16 teams who did not participate in the premier class MotoGP now,"read the announcement of the International Motorsport Federation (FIM) as reported by Crash.net on Monday (02/05/2011).
"After reviewing the initial applications, Dorna has decided to provide further information to 14 (of 16) team that includes 21 racers. They will be provided with a prospectus that contains complete details about terms and conditions of participation."
"Teams that have passed the selection with the application, they have until May 14 next to submit details of their plans to participate in full. The application will be evaluated at Le Mans and the team will receive an accepted, rejected or dipending."
"The team received later, will have until June 3, 2012 or the first day of racing Grand Prix Catalunya, to pay a security deposit to URTA. After that, the teams that qualify will be published," they said.
